For the first time, divine [id] is organizing the GEFLUC’s evening Athletes and Companies Against Cancer.
This evening will bring together the largest companies of our region, GEFLUC partners, predominant actors in Marseille, professional athletes, and the press. This special event will take place in Le Réfectoire (the R2 restaurant) at the Terrasses du Port in Marseille.
The GEFLUC is an association created in 1964 by a Marseille business leader after the death of his brother. Its goal is to engage the business world in the fight against cancer. The original idea was that each employee contributes 1€ and the company matches the same amount based on the number of employees. It is the only association which brings employees and management together in the way. GEFLUC is now more than 50 years old and is renowned for its public utility. Since its creation, it has been able to give nearly 30 million euros.
The aim of this evening is also to distribute the numerous donations collected throughout the year, in the form of cheques (140.000€). We have decided that this evening will be based on sport with the participation of many athletes from different disciplines concerned with this noble cause like Mathieu Bastareaud and Jean-Charles Oriloli (RCT), Fanny Skalli, professionnal rider, Mehdi Amar professional boxer and Frédérick Bousquet, professional swimmer from the Cercle des Nageurs Marseille. This festive evening will include a DJ and a dinner.
