For the past seventeen years, Marseille has hosted the internationally-renowned “Marseille Jazz des Cinq Continents”, this year July 20-29 in symbolic city venues.
New this year for the kick-off the rooftop of the “Friche la Belle de Mai”, before heading to the Silvain Theater, the MuCEM and finally, the festival will return to its historic site, the gardens of the Palais Longchamp.
The program of this 17th edition will be under the sign of a journey to the heart of jazz with big-name stars like Lars Danielsson, Jan Garbarek, Jean-Pierre Como, Ibrahim Maalouf, St Germain, Jamie Cullum, Seal, and many others.
A multitude of free events will be organized by “Marseille Heure Jazz”, including for the first time, the Departmental Archives and Library. Here, you will find a jazz exhibition with Raphaël Imbert. Alcajazz will be playing at the Alcazar and in addition several “before” parties in various hotels are programmed.
