The renovation of the Anse de la Réserve port, a team effort
One million euros: this is the amount invested by the Aix-Marseille Provence Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the public service delegate since 2018, to renovate the Anse de la Réserve port in Marseille. In addition to this sum, Christian Ernst, head of the Rowing Club, has invested one million euros in its restaurant, which overlooks the port.
The renovation of the Anse de la Réserve port is thus a team effort, led by the CCI and the businesses located on the harbour: the Rowing Club, headed by Rémy Taranto, or the president of the Union Nautique Marseillaise (UNM) Joël Heisserer.
The port of Anse de la Réserve is to become a real yachting village in preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games
In all, two million euros have been spent over two years to refurbish the premises in order to make it a more sustainable port, a yachting village accessible to the inhabitants of Marseille. The port has therefore been modernised, notably with the installation of a waste disposal centre.
The CCI would also like to apply for the European “clean port” label for the Anse de la Réserve harbour. The building housing the Rowing Club has also been refurbished. Facilities for people with reduced mobility should also be added in the near future. Other work remains to be finalised, notably on the building housing the Union Nautique Marseillaise (UNM).
The CCI AMP intends to continue this dynamic and to develop the port of Anse de la Réserve so that it becomes a real yachting village in preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games. The port is already part of this dynamic with the Union Nautique Marseillaise (UNM) which hosted the European championship of the L30 class and regattas last summer.
